Fees and Rebates
FeesThe total cost of an assessment varies depending on the referral questions and the complexity of the case. Screening assessments usually take a total of four hours. Comprehensive assessments take approximately eight hours in total (including testing, interpretation and report writing).
At present, Medicare does not cover the cost of a neuropsychological assessment. Our hourly fee ($250.00) is in line with the recommended rates set by the Australian Psychological Society for specialist psychological services. For privately paying clients, however, a reduced hourly rate of $190.00 is charged in an effort to make the service more accessible. We will discuss fees with each client prior to booking the assessment, and provide an accurate estimate of the total cost at the time of referral. |
RebatesPrivate Health Funds, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and other bodies may provide some level of reimbursement for psychological services.
We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to find out whether your fund covers neuropsychological services. NDIS If you/your client is registered with NDIS, a neuropsychological assessment can be covered by your NDIS funding. If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can refer directly to me. If you are managed by an agency, please talk to your provider about sub-contracting my service. Cancellation Policy We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or change the appointment. A 50% cancelation fee will apply for cancellations made within 48 hours before the scheduled appointment or if you do not turn up to the appointment. |
